The Generalitat Decree 82/2010, of June 29, determines which are the activities and centers that must compulsorily have a Self-Protection Plan, with specific training for the staff working in these centers. These activities are those that are governed by specific sectoral regulations, such as industrial activities and storage of chemical products, research activities with biological or chemical risk, transport infrastructure (tunnels with a length greater than 1,000 m, ports, airports, gas pipelines …), energy infrastructures (nuclear facilities, dams and reservoirs) and activities for public and recreational shows such as discos, nightclubs and theaters with a capacity of more than 2,000 people.
Other activities that must have a Self-Protection Plan are all the critical infrastructures for the community (such as water supply infrastructures), stations and interchanges for trains, subways or any other means of transport with a capacity equal to or greater than 1,500 people. , toll roads, power plants with a capacity of more than 50 MW, hospitals with more than 200 beds, educational centers with a capacity for more than 2,000 students, and housing developments located near forest areas.
